Fourth of July is Independence Day

 Holding true to Tawas tradition the Parade and Fireworks will occur on the fourth of July. The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Newman St. and the fireworks at dusk over the Tawas Bay. For safety purposes all entries must have walkers to hand out candy rather than throw it from a vehicle. The APPLEDORE IV will also be available for a fireworks sail from 8 - 11 p.m.

IOSCO-ING is this years parade theme for example hunting, hiking, birding , biking, sailing, snowshoeing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, dining, sunbathing, kiteboarding, garage sale-ing etc.
